FFL Transfers
Before initiating the transfer process, it’s essential to get in touch with A-Zone Armory to inform them about your intention to transfer a firearm. You can reach out to them via phone 407-615-1227 or email support@azonearmory.com to discuss the details of the transfer and any specific requirements they may have.
Step 2: Gather Required Information
To facilitate the transfer process, we will need to gather some essential information, including:
- Your personal details (name, address, contact information)
- Details of the firearm you intend to transfer (make, model, serial number)
- Any pertinent documentation related to the firearm (purchase receipt, ownership documents)
Having this information readily available will streamline the transfer process and ensure everything moves smoothly.
Step 3: Arrange for Firearm Shipment
Once you’ve coordinated with A-Zone Armory and gathered all the necessary information, you’ll need to arrange for the shipment of the firearm to their location. Ensure that you comply with all federal and state laws regarding the shipping of firearms to avoid any legal complications.
Step 4: Visit A-Zone Armory for Background Check
Once the firearm has been delivered to our location, you will need to visit A-Zone Armory to complete the transfer process. Below are the fees for the transfer:
- The Transfer Fee is $20 per firearm, if transferring over 5 firearms on one sheet the transfer fee is reduced to $15
- Transfers for NFA items are $70, customer must have/obtain fingerprints and passport style photo, electronic submissions only.
- A $5 background check fee is required for every processed 4473 form, regardless of quantity of firearms on sheet.
During your visit, you will undergo the required background check as per Florida state law. Once the background check is completed, and all necessary paperwork is processed, the firearm will be transferred to you legally.
Step 5: Complete Transfer Paperwork
Before leaving A-Zone Armory premises, ensure that you complete all necessary paperwork related to the firearm transfer. This may include filling out a transfer form, providing identification, and signing any required documents.
Step 6: Take Possession of the Firearm
Once all paperwork is completed and the background check has been approved, you will be able to take possession of the transferred firearm. If you are delayed on the background check for any reason, you will be notified once we have the approval and can schedule another day to pick up your firearm.Â
